Pynx Pro was approached by the London Ontario school board to produce content for a number of schools that needed Video Production for their graduation ceremonies. This project was filmed at A.B. Lucas Secondary School and edited from the Pynx studio. We worked with staff at the school to create a concept for the Class of 2021 that essentially gave a tour of the school and refresh some good memories for the students.
Graduation is a special time for students as they move from one chapter in their lives to the next. A graduation video can provide a lasting memento of this time, capturing memories and showcasing the achievements of the students. To create an engaging and memorable graduation video, it’s important to focus on the story of the graduates and the school.
Here are some ideas for graduation video production:
Student Interviews: Interviews with the graduates can provide a personal perspective on their experience at the school, their plans for the future, and their memories of their time there.
School Tour: A tour of the school can provide a sense of place, showcasing the different areas of the school and highlighting key features.
Year in Review: A highlight reel of the school year, showcasing key events, trips, and student achievements can provide a snapshot of the graduates’ experiences.
Student-made Content: Encouraging students to create their own content, such as photos, videos, or written pieces, can provide a unique perspective on the school and the students.
Messages from Staff and Faculty: Messages from staff and faculty members can provide a sense of community and offer well wishes to the graduates as they move on to the next chapter in their lives.
Graduation videos are important to both students and parents because they capture a once-in-a-lifetime moment in a student’s life. This is a time when students celebrate their achievements, reflect on their past experiences, and look forward to the future. Graduation videos are a way to remember this special day and keep the memories alive long after the ceremony has ended.
For parents, a graduation video is a way to see their child walk across the stage and receive their diploma, even if they were unable to attend the ceremony in person. It’s also a way for parents to share this moment with other family members who may have been unable to attend.
For students, graduation videos are a way to reflect on their time in high school and remember the experiences they had, the friends they made, and the accomplishments they achieved. This video becomes a keepsake that they can hold onto and look back on years down the line, helping them to remember the lessons they learned and the moments they cherished during their time in school.
Overall, graduation videos serve as a reminder of the hard work, dedication, and perseverance that went into earning a diploma. They are a testament to a student’s journey and a celebration of their achievements, and for that reason, they are a cherished memory for both students and parents.
