Chamber of Commerce - Business Excellence Awards
The Chamber of Commerce Brantford-Brant presented its annual business excellence awards Thursday night at the Best Western Brantford Hotel and Conference Centre. Local businesses and individuals who have demonstrated exemplary corporate citizenship were honoured at the 38th Chamber of Commerce Businesses Excellence Awards presentation.
Mike D’Eri and his team from Pynx Productions were presented with the Enterprise Brant Entrepreneur of the Year award. The other entrepreneur of the year finalists were Frank and Lorraine Pedersen from Alpha Micro Tech Inc. and Rob Simmons from Cozzmic Communications.

The awards were presented Thursday night at Best Western Brantford Hotel and Conference Centre on Holiday Drive. The event included a virtual option for those unable to attend the in-person celebration.
Established in 1985, the business excellence awards gala is the premier business event held annually by the chamber. The awards recognize business achievement, corporate citizenship and contributions to the community.
Mike D’Eri of Pynx was humbled by winning the award and credits the Brantford-Brant Chamber of Commerce for introducing the company to other local businesses and providing new opportunities for Pynx.
Due to the pandemic, D’Eri had to evolve the Pynx business model and introduce new services such as Virtual Events, Hybrid Events, Video Production and Editing, and a new Multimedia division to adapt to a changing event industry.
