Pynx Pro thrives on transforming events into immersive experiences. When RISE Event Planning reached out for AV support for Tundra Tech’s Annual Awards Gala at the stunning Arcadian Court in Toronto, we knew we had to deliver “The Wow! Factor.” Working closely with RISE Event Planning, we were tasked with providing a comprehensive audio-visual solution that would seamlessly transition from a prestigious business awards ceremony into an electrifying modern party. With high expectations and complex challenges, we set out to create a night to remember.

The Tundra Tech team had a clear goal—an elegant and dynamic AV setup that could accommodate both an awards ceremony and an energetic after-party. This required meticulous planning and execution. Pynx Pro brought expertise in custom lighting, sound, and video solutions to transform the Arcadian Court into a breathtaking venue, ensuring that each phase of the night left a lasting impression
The challenge? Arcadian Court’s architectural limitations, including its high rounded ceiling, which posed audio challenges, and strict rigging restrictions that required creative lighting placements. Additionally, with a high-energy performance by Modern Retrospect Band, a live DJ, and LED robot dancers, our team had to balance technical precision with artistic creativity to ensure a flawless execution.
To fully immerse attendees in the experience, Pynx Pro incorporated a three-screen LED video wall setup that would be used throughout the evening for live visuals, award presentations, and an engaging party atmosphere. Our configuration included:
For custom visuals, we utilized Resolume software, integrating a mix of pre-designed video loops and custom content crafted by our in-house video production team.
These elements added an extra dimension of excitement to the gala and amplified the party’s energy once the awards concluded.
With no ceiling rigging allowed, we had to innovate lighting placement throughout the venue. Our solution involved strategic positioning of pixel tube lights, uplights, and texture lighting to enhance the room’s aesthetics. Some of our key lighting elements included:
The combined effect was a visually stunning atmosphere that shifted effortlessly from a formal awards ceremony to a high-energy celebration.
A venue like Arcadian Court, with its high ceilings and unique acoustics, required a thoughtful approach to sound design. Our audio engineers expertly configured the system to ensure clarity, balance, and impact throughout the space.
Our high-end audio setup included:
The result? A perfectly balanced sound system that allowed every word, note, and beat to be heard with precision.
Executing an event of this scale required a skilled and coordinated team. Our professionals worked tirelessly to ensure every detail was meticulously managed, including:
With extensive pre-production planning, including testing all platforms and equipment at the Pynx warehouse, we ensured that everything ran smoothly on event day. By using a lean, agile approach, we minimized setup time and maximized efficiency, allowing Tundra Tech and RISE Event Planning to focus on delivering an exceptional experience for their guests.
1. Overcoming Rigging Restrictions
With no rigging allowed from the ceiling, we had to design a lighting setup using creative floor-based solutions (which included ground stacking and using ground standing structures). Our team used pixel tube lights, strategically placed uplighting, and linear beams to craft a visually engaging environment.
2. Managing the Rounded Ceiling Acoustics
The venue’s curved ceiling presented audio projection challenges, so we carefully positioned Adamson CS7P Speakers and Subwoofers to create an evenly distributed sound field, ensuring every guest enjoyed crystal-clear audio.
3. Coordinating Multiple Working Parts
From an awards ceremony with speakers to a live music performance and dance party, the night had many moving parts. By having dedicated Pynx Pro technicians for each aspect of production, we seamlessly transitioned between event phases.
When the awards wrapped up and the Modern Retrospect Band took the stage, the energy in the room skyrocketed, transforming Arcadian Court into a festival-like atmosphere with immersive lighting, dynamic video elements, and perfectly balanced audio. The band delivered an electrifying performance that had the crowd singing, dancing, and completely engaged from start to finish, keeping the dance floor packed all night long. Their undeniable stage presence and high-energy set led to two encores, proving just how much the audience couldn’t get enough of the incredible live music.
From start to finish, Pynx Pro delivered on Tundra Tech’s vision, proving why we are an industry leader in live event production. The feedback from the client and attendees was overwhelmingly positive, cementing this event as one of the most memorable nights of the year.
