Wing Night: 90's Hip-Hop and R&B Revival
When it comes to delivering the classics of the 90s with an electrifying twist, Wing Night takes center stage. This Toronto-based premium Hip-Hop and R&B cover band has been igniting venues across the city since 2013. From the intimate Junction City Music Hall to legendary venues like The Horseshoe Tavern and The Opera House, Wing Night’s magnetic performances have garnered a dedicated following.
The four founding members of the band are Joel James on keys and lead vocals, Marcus Wing on guitar, Matt Jameson on bass, and Mike Taylor on drums – Wing Night’s repertoire boasts over 130 songs. From the iconic Biggie Smalls to the soulful Usher, from the empowering Destiny’s Child to the sultry TLC, Wing Night doesn’t just bring the classics back to life; they infuse them with an energy that keeps the party at full throttle all night long.
Crafting the Indoor Stage with Pynx Pro
Pynx Pro was thrilled to be a part of this unforgettable evening, providing top-tier audiovisual production that matched the excitement in the air.
To create the indoor stage for Wing Night’s performance, Pynx Pro deployed 12 of our versatile 4′ x 8′ Ultra Stage Decks. These sturdy and customizable stage elements provided the perfect platform for Wing Night to work their magic.
The heart of any concert production is the sound, and for this special night, Pynx Pro spared no expense. We set up a speaker system featuring 12 of our RCF Active Line Array Speakers. These speakers, powered by cutting-edge Allen & Heath mixing consoles, ensured that every note, beat, and lyric filled the venue with crystal-clear precision. The result? A sonic experience that resonated deep with the audience.
But we didn’t stop there. Lighting is an art form in itself, and we aimed to make this night visually stunning. Our lighting setup was nothing short of spectacular, featuring 16 ADJ Encore LP12’s, 6 ADJ Vizi Beams, and 4 Chauvet Strike Array 2’s. All of this lighting wizardry was seamlessly controlled by the Chamsys MQ50 Lighting Desk, allowing us to paint the stage with vibrant colours, mesmerizing patterns, and dramatic effects that enhanced the overall atmosphere.
