Pynx Pro has has partnered with Fest-I-Val Stages to create BAM! Studios in Brantford-Brant, Ontario. BAM! Studios is a temporary studio space that invites bands, DJs, agents, promoters, individuals and corporations to rent the space for virtual events or a video recording space. The reason that Pynx Pro and Fest-I-Val Stages have partnered up to produce this temporary studio space is because of public gathering restrictions due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.
These gathering restrictions have shut down traditional concert halls, music venues, bars and theatres which has left local musicians without a lot of options for venues to play inside of. BAM! Studios is eager to bridge the gap so that musicians can get back to playing music in front of an audience, even if that audience is viewing remotely over the internet.
BAM! Studios is a turn key virtual concert event space that bands, agents, labels, artists, individuals or companies can rent so they can live stream any type of performance. We have opened it up for virtual fundraising galas, sales meetings and all sorts of other virtual events.
The studio itself is a concert space with full stage production, sound, lighting, and video that has both recording and on site live streaming capabilities. The install includes a full size QSC KLA12 Line Array with QSC KW181 Subwoofers for it’s main sound system which is driven by a Midas M32 digital audio console.
The monitor package consists of EV ELX112P active wedges. For lighting, we have chose the Martin MH1 LED moving head profile fixtures which have 175 watt LED engines which is accompanied by 12 Lumi Hpar90 LED par cans for rear wash. For conventional lighting, we are utilizing Chauvet Slim Par Pro VWs. The video component is driven by a Roland VR 4HD with a Mac Book Pro for recording/streaming and for cameras we are using 4 Panasonic TM900s with Manfrotto Fluid Head stands.
BAM! Studios is a temporary studio space that is available for rentals during Winter 2021. VIDEO PRODUCTION
Camera array which consisted of 4 x compact Panasonic TM900 HD cameras on stands with a Roland VR 4HD video switcher and dual monitor system. We are using Black Magic 3G SDI convertors to get the long runs to the rear of the stage to capture some of the shots behind the drummer.
FULL STAGE LIGHTING
Lighting is powered by Martin, Elation and Chauvet featuring Martin MH1 LED Moving Heads with a 175 watt LED engine, Lumi HPar90s which are an RGBW par can with 90 watts of LED power, Chauvet Slim Par VWs for the front conventional lights, Antari Z350 fazer machines for FX and the entree rig is being driven by a Chamsys MagicQ PC Wing Compact with a touch screen windows lap top.
AUDIO
The Midas M32 Digital Mixing Console is driving the main rig which consists of 40 simultaneous input channels. All instruments and vocals are recorded straight from the console for studio quality sound. Various microphone kits are available including products from professional brands like Shure and Sennheiser. The main PA consists of 8 x QSC KLA12 active line array columns with 4 x QSC KW181 active subwoofers.
